The Transformation Radio Program
This is a series of life-changing seminars aimed at developing human capital in the Volta Region so as to ensure real progress and development on all fronts (economic, social, technological, etc) in the region. It is scheduled for every quarter of the year. There are student-focused seminars and those for the general public.
This project entails the assigning of mentors and life-coaches to groups of Senior High School Students in the Volta region, where these mentors would occasionally interact with these students and inspire them. Also, students in the various groups shall be tasked to engage in creative projects that solve societal problems.
Travel brings new perspectives to people and open us to the worldview of others. A lot of learning goes on as one travels across villages, towns, cities, countries, and continents. To broaden the mindset of students and positively change their paradigms, TAHUF organizes for students, educational tours to various tourist sites in Ghana. This is done at very affordable prices.
This initiative is meant to create a lively environment for children and adolescents in the society. Here, these children and adolescents in the basic schools are treated to birthday parties/celebrations in the months of their birth at very minimal cost to them. Since lots of people are born in a particular month, the mass birthday concept provides a sense of belongingness to promote social cohesion. This serves as a platform for social grooming of the young ones as well.
Rewards bring about positive reinforcement. The awards are meant to inspire the recipients to continue doing good work and even take it notches higher. Students in Senior High Schools have a separate award scheme, with a maiden Business Awards Night planned for December 2014 for all businesses operating within the Ketu South Municipality.
This radio program hears people tell their stories of how they were able to defy all odds and succeed in the full glare of defeat.
